At the end of summer, on september 26th 2020, I reunited with Marie-Claire and Jacques to photograph their wedding in the french countryside. During our first meeting, we got along straight away and I knew from that moment that I was going to enjoy shooting their wedding, thanks to their kindness, their good moods and their humour which made me love them straight away.
Despite Covid restrictions going on over the past few months, those two lovebirds managed to have a wedding closest to normality, with their families, friends and relatives around their union.
They started getting ready at the Château des Charmes estate, in Guéreins at the north of Lyon, France. Both were getting ready in separate rooms in order to fit in the wedding dress and the suit. We then went to the Monceaux church to officialise their union. A moment always filled with emotions, that I always enjoy capturing, mostly because of each church's architectural singularity, which makes the moment so unique for each couple.
We then headed towards the estate to celebrate outdoors at sunset, scarfs and sweaters were very welcome. We then shot the couple's session inside the estate, where the stairs and living room fitted perfectly with this love-filled session.
We finished with dinner indoors, on the menu: lots of laughter, tears, emotional speeches, kisses and banter.
Many thanks to the couple for trusting me and making me feel like their own!
